A couple of days before Christmas one of my lovely friends asked me to do two cards for a brother and sister who were being christened on Christmas Day…Now I don’t have any sets in my collection that are christening themed so it was a challenge to come up with something suitable…
I wanted the cards to be clean and simple in their design and I often see white on white cards that I just love and so thought this might be a good place to start. So I had my basic idea but needed a stamp to add. That’s when I remembered the Stylish Star from the Summer Mini. It is a cute little star and is one of the a la carte stamps in the mini.
So here is what I came up with – first in pink…
I heat embossed the Stylish Star in silver and then mounted it on the Silver Glimmer paper also from the Mini (love that paper) and then mounted that all on some Pretty in Pink card stock. For this card I embossed the background with Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.
Here is the second card…
For this one I used the Stripes embossing folder and Marina Mist. Also I should mention that I did actually forget to take photos before giving these to Kim so a big Thank You to Kim for sending me the pics so I could share them with you.
